Low Profile Trailer Jack to Fit Under Tailgate of Truck

Published 12/23/2020

Question:

HI. I just bought a utility trailer that hauls up to 5000 lbs. I have a 2015 Ford F150. Unfortunately, the tailgate of my trailer will hit the top of the jack which is mounted on my trailer so Im looking for a 5000 lbs A frame bolt on jack with a very low profile no taller than 8.5inch from the mounting bracket to the top of the jack. Do you offer one that meets that description?

The Ultimate Trailer Jack part # 322-RDJ-2K is the lowest profile trailer jack and would work great for you. Since the bracket is adjustable you can set the height of the jack at a very low height as needed.

The jack actually has a lifting capacity of 2,000 lbs which would mean it can handle a trailer's tongue weight of 2,000 lbs. Your trailer weighing up to 5,000 lbs would have a tongue weight near 500 lbs so this jack would work great.
