Question:

Hello and thank you for your time. If my RV regulator is 30,000btu. Is it safe to run a 100lb tank through it without using a regulator connected directly to the 100lb tank? We are ONLY using the propane for the furnace I should add. Thank you in advance.

RV regulators are there to ensure safety when dealing with propane. As such, I highly recommend using one when hooking things up to your tank. The regulators keep extreme fluctuations from reaching your appliances, which can have catastrophic results.

I recommend using the Camco Two-Stage Regulator, part # CAM59333. It will ensure that a steady, constant flow at 11" water column of propane pressure is being released. I've linked to a video review of this regulator for you to look at.
