Easy Solution for Damaged Breakaway Cable on Trailer

Question:
Hi, I have a 2018 viking bh17. The breakaway cable is fraying and needs to be replaced. What do you think would be the best fix? Cable and pin or something like a coil type with the two carabiners on it. Would you know the part numbers for those replacement parts? Thanks.

The easiest solution is a new breakaway switch with the Curt # C52010.
Since all of the switches operate using the same mechanism you can easily replace the entire switch with something like the Curt I mentioned regardless of the brand of the breakaway kit. Trying to replace just the pin of a switch you may have does get tricky though as that would require determining which exact breakaway kit you have.
