Installation of Emergency Break Away Cable Repair Kit for Dexter Axle A-60 Brake Actuators

Question:
How hard is it to replace the DX64XR break away cable? Some people say you have to remove the whole unit and remove hydraulic brake hose? It would be nice to have a video showing how to do it. Thanks

Expert Reply:
Hi Gary; I'm sorry we don't have a video installing the # DX64XR at this time but I did go pull the installation manual out of the box for you. You need to remove the inner member and then route the cable as seen in the instructions. Dexter might have this online as well but right now they have instructions for a solenoid linked to the cable so I couldn't find them. See the attached photos.
