Is there a battery in the camera or must the marker lights be on for the camera to work?

The VueSMART RV and Trailer Backup Camera part # HM34FR is a wired camera for a wireless system. In other words, the camera needs to be wired to a power source such as the running light circuit but the link between the camera and monitor is wireless. There is no internal battery.
