Question:

I am looking for a hitch mount Bike rack that is rv trailer approved. I will be putting it on my motorhome. It is for a tandem bike so it needs to support a larger wheelbase. I’m not sure the exact wheelbase size but an thinking about 68 inches. Are there any options that will work?

We have bike racks that can accommodate the longer wheelbases that tandem bikes have but the max wheelbase of the Swagman XTC # S64670 is 66 inches.

We have the Swagman XC-Extended Bike Rack for 2 Recumbent Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Item # S64650-EXT. This is approved for a motorhome, but not fifth wheels or travel trailers. It can accommodate wheelbases up to 69 inches and is adjustable for different sizes of bikes to haul together.

I recommend the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable for Swagman Bike Racks w/ 1-1/4" & Combo Shanks - 7' # S64031, to secure the rack to the hitch and the bikes to the rack.
