Is the Thule Compass 2 kayak Carrier compatible with the Rhino-Rack ROC25 roof rack. Is there a better roof rack option?

Yes. The Thule Compass Kayak and SUP Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - J-Style, Post Style, or Saddle - 2 Kayaks or SUPs # TH890000 is a universal fit kayak carrier, so it will fit on the crossbars of the Rhino Rack ROC25 Roof Rack for Naked Roofs - Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black # RR99TR. The ROC25 kit is a very nice roof rack kit and it gives a more factory roof rack look since the bars don't extend outside of the towers, so it really just depends on the aesthetic you're looking for.
The other roof rack system I recommend having a look at would be the Rhino Rack roof rack system for 2017 Honda Ridgeline that uses parts # RRVA150S-2, # RRRLKVA, # DK470, which would also allow you to carry the Thule Compass. The main difference is that this system has 59" bars opposed to the 48" on the ROC25 system, so you'll ultimately have a bit more space to add something like a small roof box like the Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box - 11 Cu Ft - Matte Black # TH613 or a bike carrier like the Yakima Front Loader # Y02103.
