Question:
Does it have a down leg?

The Lippert Power Stance Electric Trailer Jack # LC89VR does not have a drop leg. The pin you see by the footplate is only for the footplate to remove and install it. The retraction and extension of the leg is electronically controlled.
If you're looking for the fastest jack, I HIGHLY suggest getting the Trailer Valet JXC # TV54FR. I know it's not an electric jack, BUT you can use an electric drill to control the extension and retraction of the leg. I've found that electric jacks are not what I want just because they are SLOWWW in every case. I always have a drill in my car and they give you a drill attachment so you don't have to buy that.
This is just my suggestion as I really enjoyed using the product in the video because of its QUICK and easy operation. Check out the video I've included and you'll be able to see the difference between the electric jack and the Trailer Valet.
