Question:
Hi I have a 93F250 diesel. The receiver welded on the truck looks factory. The problem is that the insides are not very square,a little more rounded than other receivers so the ball mounts with their squarer corners dont slide in unless I grind the edges rounder. Something I dont want to do. Is getting a solid ball mount and grinding the edges the answer?

What you are describing is a common problem with some factory hitches. You are correct, you do not want to grind away any of the metal of a ball mount to get it to fit. Removing some of the powder coat is acceptable provided you do not also remove any metal.
What I recommend is looking for a ball mount with the more rounded corners. A ball mount like # BM20 has more rounded corners but it is rated for 10,000 pounds whereas the mount you referenced is rated for 16K.
Cushioned ball mount # AMSC2HD has more rounded corners and is rated for 14K. If you can tell me what capacity and rise or drop you need I can determine the best option.
