Lock on Anti-Rattle Device and Lock # 63232 Will Not Unlock

Question:

Lock will not unlock, was fine when put on yesterday. Any suggestions?

On the Anti-Rattle Device and Lock, # 63232, make sure that the lock itself is not turning while you are turning the key. If the key is not inserted all of the way it will not engage properly and it cannot be turned.

If you are able to put the key in all the way and it still will not turn some spray lubricant might loosen things up. A spray of WD-40 might be enough to get things moving again after letting it soak.

If the key turns freely (and the lock itself is stationary) then this indicates that something inside the lock is broken and it will need to be replaced.
