What is the Advantage to Switching to a Derale Thermostat Fan Control on a 2006 Polaris Sportsman

Question:
I have purchased a Polaris sportsman recently with your fan relay kit installed. I was curious to what advantage this relay kit would add, over stock. Thank you for you time.

A stock thermostat that is similar to the Derale Premium, Single-Stage Thermostat, # D16735, might have different temperature settings. This one kicks on at 180 degrees and turns off at 165 degrees. This will help to save power. The 40/60-amp relay harness is probably more heavy duty than the stock one and it has probe options (thread-in and push-in options). Of course the thermostat kit is only as good as the fan you are using. The fan may have been replaced as well and if so that is normally done to increase CFMs (cubic feet per minute).
