Question:

I want to secure the track to my open aluminum trailer. What do I use to isolate the galvanized track from the aluminum trailer?

When installing the etrailer Horizontal E-Track part # e65VR we generally use a rubber material that is generally used as a liner in garden ponds. It is easy to cut into strips and place under the full length of the track. Once secured down we trim off any excess using the track as a guide.

This is the method we use. You can use just about anything that will last. In some truck bed applications the gooseneck manufacturers send material very similar to that of transparent overhead paper or lamination material.

You just want to keep the two materials separate.
