purchased this week from you guys, before I install it I have 617 pounds of tongue weight. Do I have the correct hitch or go up a step?

Expert Reply:
The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution # BXW0556 you have is designed for total tongue weights from 350 lbs to 550 lbs, so it won't be effective for you. It will essentially be like you don't have a system on because it is not rated high enough for your tongue weight. So you will either need a higher rated hitch, or you can just replace the spring bars with the higher-rated option.
For that you will simply need the Replacement Spring Bars for Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System - 750 lbs TW # BXW4006.
These are for tongue weights between 550 lbs and 750 lbs so they're exactly what you need.
Or, to replace the whole system you will need the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution # BXW0750.
