Question:

We have a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and will be receiving our newly ordered 2021 Jeep Compass Trailhawk in October. We’d love to transport our fun loving 10’ Hobie Mirage Eclipse Pedalboards, but aren’t sure how! We’re game for putting a rack system on either of the before mentioned cars. We don’t have any cross bars on our ‘17, nor for the ordered vehicle either. From my brief view of various sights, it looks like Thule has a better SUP rack system. Also, these boards are somewhat heavy. Thanks in advance for your help!

I looked up your Hobie Mirage Eclipse Pedalboards and found they are 54 lbs each fully rigged. The Thule SUP Taxi XT Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier - Roof Mount - 2 Boards # TH810001 is my recommendation for the carrier to utilize with your roof rack as it has a wider base, but the Thule Compass # TH890000 is also a great option.

For a 2021 Jeep Compass we currently only have roof racks confirmed to fit flush mounted rails and I've linked that page if that ends up being what you have as that is standard on many vehicles now.
