Question:

I have a 2008 Forrest River Sandpiper 5th wheel camper with an electric jack/gearbox that is skipping gears. The gearbox has a black plastic cover with Venture Mfg Co and the motor has a tag that says: MAMCO UL#MQ887 BPI-12-126 12 VDC B-8535-07 KA 01/29/07 M Can you direct me to a suitable replacement?

For the gearbox on your 2008 Forrest River Sandpiper I recommend the Replacement Gearbox for Venture Aluminum Electric 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear Assemblies # LC276602. The aluminum casing is far more sturdy than the plastic housing options. If you want the motor replacement as well, then I recommend the Replacement Motor for Stromberg Carlson Electric Landing Gear - 5,500 lbs # LG-142178.
