Will the Vent on the Valterra Water Inlet Allow Water to Escape
Updated 09/24/2020 | Published 09/22/2020 >
Question:
I understand the vent on the front of the water inlet is to allow fast fills and pressure equalizer as water is pulled from the tank. Wouldnt moving water splash out of this port as the RV is moving?

In most all situations this will not be an issue. There is the small chance that the vent on the Valterra Water Inlet for RVs part # A01-2003VP would allow water to seep out in the event of an extreme bouncing situation or at extreme angles with an off road trailer.
By design the tube connecting from the vent to the tank is of pretty good length so the water would have to travel a good distance. Also in most cases they will have looped the tube to help prevent any water loss.
