What are the memeasurment. From the end of the bed to the edge of the first rail

According to the installation instructions which I have linked for you, from the rear edge of the truck bed (not the tailgate) to the rear edge of the nearest rail should be 31-15/16 inches on short and long beds for installation kit # RP56005-53 on a 2004 Ford F-250. This will put the center line of the hitch approximately 2-15/16 inches forward of the center of the rear axle.
