Maxxair Maxxfan 4951KS 4 Button Wall Controller Causing Functions To Work Opposite Or Not At All

Question:
I just installed a new maxxfan 4951KS with 4 button wall control . When I press fan on it beeps but nothing happens ,when I press open vent it opens , when I press vent close no beep and nothing happens. With vent open I press fan on , the vent closes. When I press fan off it beeps. Can you please help me ?

If your MAxxair fan 4951ks is new there have been a few instances with the RJ11 cable that runs between the controller and the fan circuit board causing the functions to run opposite. This could mean the cable is a standard cable and may be wired different. I suggest replacing the cable first. If the fan is not new and the new cable doesn't fix the issue I suggest replacing the circuit board with the Replacement Printed Circuit Board for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus Roof Vents Item # MA10A04751KS
