Question:

Ive read Q and A but want to verify mounting to 2015 Ford Transit 250 medium roof. Does the 55 sq ft awning come with all the brackets/connectors for a direct wall mount? Or do I need an additional wall mount bracket set?

The correct Thule Hideaway Awning for a wall mount application would be the part # TH490011 as the part # TH490008 was designed to attach to the crossbars of a roof rack. Both of these come with all needed brackets for their applications.

Robert M asked specifically about a wall mount for a Ford Transit medium roof. But when I look at the eTrailer website, the Thule TH490011 specifically states "for High Roof". While the mounts and mounting process are the same, on both the High Roof and the Medium Roof, the front passenger door and sliding side door on a Medium Roof would be about 9" closer to the Thule Awning. Would this represent clearance issues? Don M.

@DonM Were you able to find a medium wall mount for the Thule Hideaway that you are referencing? I am looking online and there's only the TH490011 and then also mounts for direct mount and roof rack mount.

@Jameson c I learned that the Ford Transit Van medium roof does not have enough room above the door to mount a Thule Hideaway or any other surface mount rack. In the meantime thanks for your help.

@DonM I looked into this and I believe I found what you mentioned and the bracket can't attach to the rounder roof of the medium roof height. If you install a roof rack on the Transit you could use the version that's designed for roof racks part # TH490010.
