Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2000 Ford F-250

Updated 09/04/2020 | Published 09/03/2020

Question:

Ive installed a BandW Goose Neck Hitch on my 2000 F250 but I need some additional help with bounce and pitching while towing. I was considering a Timbren system, Will there be any interference between these two? Is there any advantage/problem if we wanted to go with an air bag system instead of the Timbren?

Expert Reply:

For your 2000 Ford F-250, I recommend using the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFR150SDE. This is a confirmed fit for your truck, won't be an issue with your underbed B&W gooseneck hitch, and will provide some shock absorption and load support. These will also give you independent side to side support.

If you prefer air bags, there are some models not compatible with B&W hitches but the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with Internal Jounce Bumpers - Rear Axle # AL88291 is a fit that allows you to adjust the ride to your desired level. If you want a compressor, I recommend the compressor # AL25804.
