Question:

Hello. I have a small boat trailer with 5 bolt wheels on a 4.5 inch circle and EZ Lube spindles, without brakes. The spindles measure 1 and 1/16 inches for the inner and outer bearings and the surface for the seal measures 1,25 inches. I would like to buy one preassembled hub, but all of the ones I see have seals with an inner diameter of 1.5 inches. Do you have one with a 1.25 inch seal? Also, can I get it with marine grease? And last but not least. I need a spindle washer. Your Item # 5-101 says it has an inner diameter of 1 inch. Do you have one for a 1 and 1/16 inch spindle? Thank you.

We don't offer a hub kit that meets all the parameters you mentioned, we have a couple of options that would work. Your boat trailer used an oddball hub/spindle combination, which was used by Ranger and a couple of other boat manufacturers with the idea being that you could only get the replacement parts from them. We do have an option, but you'd need to purchase the correct EZ Lube grease cover separately.

The CE Smith Hub Assembly, part #CE13311 is compatible with 8 to 12 inch wheels. It meets all your parameters, having the L44649 inner and outer bearing with the 1.063 inner diameter, with a 1.25 inch grease seal and is pre-greased with red lithium grease that's perfectly suitable for marine use. As mentioned, the grease cap that's included isn't compatible with EZ Lube spindles, so you'd need to pick that up separately as part # RG04-040.
