I currently have a Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar with a cross bar. Bought a 2016 Jeep. I ordered an etrailer e98949 base plate. In looking at them when I ordered it, it appeared this would work. Can the cross bar be removed and direct connected to the base plate or is the the right base plate? Adapters?

The Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar you have # RM-520 can connect to the etrailer base plate kit part # e98949 you have but you do need an adapter as the connection cannot be made directly. So what you'll need in addition to what you have is the part # e99037 and you'd be set.
