Question:
My trailer has square side tubing which extends to the rear of the trailer where it is supported by another square tube see attached picture. Theres no way to get the gate side bolt into the roller bracket assembly. Can I use a self drilling screw in that one hole?

In regards to the Buyers Products EZ Gate Tailgate Assist part # 3375201000, I must recommend you use the supplied fasteners. If the frame is boxed where the bracket installs and you don't have access to this for the nut then a better option would be welding. I supposed a self-taping screw would work but I don't recommend this as the best option.
