Question:
How would you install the Redarc tow pro elite in a 2019 RAV4 hybrid XLE? I am interested in the electrical connections. The 12V battery is in the rear of the vehicle. Is there a 12V connection near the front? Where does the 12V brake light output connect?

It is possible to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller part # RED44FR on a 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid but it would need to be hardwired. I don't have specific institutions for this vehicle but there would need to be a power wire run to the battery (wherever that is), wire run to the stop light switch circuit (behind brake pedal), wire run to the trailer connector, and wire run to a ground. Please note, you'll need to disconnect the battery before you make the stop light switch connection. I cannot recommend using any other power source save for the battery. I can however provide the Wiring Kit part # 5506 for making these connections.
The other option which would eliminate all of the above wiring would be to just use the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 although I do really like the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller if you are up for the challenge.
