My plan is to put together a Curt A20 #16540 and Curt legs # 16024. Is there any other items I will need to make this hitch combination work with my OEM pucks

If you were to purchase the Curt # C16540 A20 5th wheel hitch head/center section plus the # C16024 legs for the 2020 GM fifth wheel prep package, you would indeed have a complete hitch with everything necessary included. If you wanted to install a 7-way in your truck bed, you'd need part # C56000.
