As far as height adjustability and weight capacities the Curt Q20 # C16130 and the Curt A20 # C16140 are identical. They both have a Gross Towing Weight of 20,000 lbs, a Vertical Load Limit of 5,000 lbs, and a height range of 13-17 inches. When it comes to choosing which one is better, even though they are both excellent choices, I recommend going with the A20 because it has more features.
Right off the bat the A20 has interlocking jaws to secure your king pin as opposed to the Q20 jaw locking system that does not interlock. This will give you more security and will provide more jaw-to-king-pin contact.
The A20 has less zerk fittings to grease and only requires 1 pin to be removed so that you can remove the head. It also has a lockable handle that self-resets to the ready-to-couple position after the trailer is uncoupled.
As I stated before, the Q20 and the A20 are both very similar, but the A20 has slightly different features that set it apart from the Q20.
These part numbers are for the regular 5th wheel hitches that fit into the Curt Custom 5th Wheel Installation Kit # C16424-204 which will fit your 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty. The installation kit # C16424-204 and the A20 # C16140 will work very well with your 17,000 lb 5th wheel trailer.
If you don't already have a 7-Way Wiring Harness installed in your F-350's truck bed I recommend using part # 50-97-410.

I have a question on the front to back play on the Q20. The play is in the saddle where the 5th wheel head sits in the base. Curt stated this was normal and there is alittle play. Did the A20 design removed this play? Thanks
