Question:

I’m thinking about trading trucks so I have to think about my hitch. I have a A20 head on an A16 slider base on a short bed truck. Can’t I buy the Puck Arms for the A20 and use it on the new truck which is a 2021 ram 3500 long bed setup with the puck system.

There is the Curt OEM 5th Wheel Hitch Legs for Ram Towing Prep Package - 24,000 lbs. # C16021. But this is not identified for the unit you currently have. These legs work with the Curt E16, A16, A25, Q20 and Q24 hitch heads. So to answer your question, yes there is product out there for puck arms, but not with your specific components.

However, we have the Reese 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package, # RP30154. This adapter is perfect if you want to use your standard fifth-wheel trailer hitch with your Ram truck's factory-installed, underbed fifth-wheel mounting kit. Just mount the adapter in your underbed rails using the integrated pucks and lock it in place. Now you have the standard, above-bed base rails needed to install your fifth-wheel hitch.
