Roof Rack and Kayak Carrier Recommendations for 2 Hobie Kayaks on a 2020 Kia Telluride

Hi! I need help selecting the right roof rack and kayak carriers. I have a 2020 Kia Telluride with the flush mount rails and need to carry two Hobie 12 foot Passport Mirage kayaks. What would you suggest? Thanks!

For your 2020 Kia Telluride I recommend going with the Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00425 with RidgeLine Towers # Y00145 and RidgeClip Fit Kit # Y94FR. This rack will attach directly to your Telluride's side rails.
When it comes to a kayak carrier I really like the Kuat Class 2 # C2R1B which has a weight capacity of 80 lbs and can handle a max hull width of 36". It comes with tie-downs to secure your kayaks but you also might be interested in the Rhino-Rack Anchor Straps # RRRBAS-2 so that you have some easy anchor locations.
Since your Hobie Passport Mirage kayaks are nearly 80 lbs you might also consider looking into a load assist like the Inno Kayak Lifter # INA453 and the Rightline Door Step # RL100660 to help make loading up your kayaks easier.
Please note that the weight capacity of the Yakima roof rack is 165 lbs so you will be close to the max with your kayaks and the carriers. Since this is the case you might consider going with a trailer like the Malone MicroSportXT # MPG460XT instead. This will not only make loading/unloading your boats easier, but it also means that you won't have to worry about exceeding the weight rating of your roof.
