Question:

Do I need 2 of these for my skybox to replace the old diamond shaped rear support so it can open on both sides? My old one twisted and won’t hold it open anymore.

I have a solution for you, but the # 8880684 is actually the front replacement for the SkyBox Y07336 and Y07337 models.

To replace the rear support, you'll need the Replacement Lid Support for Yakima Cargo Boxes # 8880683, which is a confirmed fit on the SkyBox Y07334, Y07335, Y07338, and 8007339. You'll only need 1 of these to replace the rear support as they've done away with the older style diamond shaped rear supports you're referring to.
