Question:
Hello, can you tell me what this hitch weighs? I need to find out total hitch weight for my 2019 Ford Ranger. The trailer I’m considering is 27 foot airstream with hitch weight of 871 pounds with Full LP and batteries. Thanks

The total weight of the Curt TruTrack part # C17500 is 115 lbs. What's interesting about weight distribution systems is that the weight of the system doesn't add to the tongue weight of the trailer since essentially it becomes a part of the trailer hitch which our manufacturers have told us is why this is.
I looked up the towing capacity of the 2019 Ford Ranger and it appears to be 350 lbs but you should verify this as well in your owners manual. Also worth mentioning is that it looks like your vehicle isn't rated for weight distribution so you wouldn't be able to use a system like this. You could beef up the rear suspension with an air bag kit like the Firestone Ride Rite part # F28ZR which will reduce sag when towing.
