Will Swagman E-Spec Work With Bike That Has Step-Through Frame

Question:

We have a Electra Townie GO 8i step through. Because of the fenders the hook cannot be used on the tire. The step through design is pretty low. Can the hook on this rack shorten enough to grab the low point of the step through frame. We want a hook type bike rack for other bikes we own, so we want to know if it will also work on the Electra. Thanks!

There should be no issue using the Swagman E-Spec Electric Bike Rack # S94FR with your Electra Townie that has a step-through frame. We haven't tested this specifically so I can't give you a guarantee but the frame of your Townie is not an exaggerated step-through so I don't foresee an issue.

There is also the option of using the Bike Adapter Bar # 64005 to give the frame hook a horizontal mounting point. The adapter will work so long as the distance between the seat post and handlebar stem is between 24-3/8" and 33-3/4".
