Ground Clearance on the Thule T2 Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack on a 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon

Is there adequate road clearance when this rack is mounted on a 2011 Subaru outback wagon?

Because of the way the Thule T2, # TH9044-TH9046, is designed, there is actually a rise of 4-3/4 inches from the top of the receiver opening on the trailer hitch to the bottom of the nearest platform. The rack angles up even more towards the back and the bottom of the furthest end from the receiver is 3/4 inches higher. The ground clearance at the furthest point is 14 inches. This is above the hitch on your vehicle.

Based on this rise you will not have to worry too much about ground clearance unless you are on steep grades or go over severe bumps or dips.
