Replacement Threaded Grease Cap for 1.98" Hub Bore
Updated 10/15/2024 | Published 06/25/2020 >
Question:
I have a utility trailer and need threaded dust caps. The outer diameter at the threads is about 1.984inch and the thread is fin with 24 threads per inch. Do you have a standard dust cap? If not, does Buddy Bearing have one that would fit..........Thanks,

Expert Reply:
The only sort of grease cap we offer for a threaded 1.98" hub bore is the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors part # BB1980T-SS which contains fine threads. This is the only option we'd have save for new hubs as most standard grease caps just aren't threaded.

Hey Kirk, I have a trailer with those dust caps, the 1980T-SS will fit your hubs. they are a 1.0 fine thread. Just installed them on my trailer. depending on your spindle length, you may need to bend your cotter pin around the nut for clearance. Carson
