Features to know about

Solid Hold for Heavy Axles: 5/8" Diameter Steel Handles 9,000 lbs

When you’re clamping down a 9,000-lb round axle, you need hardware you can trust. This U-bolt is built from strong 5/8" diameter steel that locks your axle firmly to the leaf springs. It’s designed for 4" round axles and keeps the suspension tight so the trailer tracks straight and stable under load.

Right Fit for a 4" Round Axle: 8-1/8" Long and 4" Wide Inside

Getting the right fit makes installation smoother and the setup stronger. With an 8-1/8" length and 4" inner width, this U-bolt matches the geometry of 4" round axles perfectly. It lines up cleanly with your U-bolt plate (sold separately) and delivers a snug, uniform clamp across the spring stack.

Reliable Hardware Included: Comes with Two Locknuts

A solid connection depends on more than just the bolt. This setup includes two locknuts that keep torque right where you set it. Once tightened, they help prevent loosening from vibration and road shock, so your axle stays locked in place mile after mile.

Built to Work with Standard Suspension Plates

This U-bolt pairs with a matching U-bolt plate and a second U-bolt of the same size (both sold separately) to complete the mount. The combination secures the axle cleanly to the springs and frame, giving your suspension the strong, even pressure it needs to perform smoothly.

Video Transcript for Review of the Replacement U-Bolt w/Locknuts for 9,000-lb, Round Trailer Axles

Today we're going to review part number 11-64. This is the Redlinereplacement u-bolt with lock nuts for a 9,000-pound round trailer axle. This u-bolt, when used with another u-bolt like this and a u-boltplate -- which we do sell separately; it would be part number 12-42 -- withthe plate and two u-bolts, it would be used to attach your 9,000-poundround axle to your leaf springs. This does fit the 9,000-pound round axlewith a four-inch diameter. It includes the two lock nuts, and just a quickmeasurement on this. Again, the width here would be four inches, for thefour-inch diameter axle. Now, the length, as measured from the middle tothe edge of this, would be eight and one-eighth inches in length.

Thediameter on this bolt is five-eighths of an inch. That should do it forreview on part number 11-64, the Redline replacement u-bolt with the locknuts for a 9,000-pound trailer axle..

I had a hard time finding a u-bolt that would fit my vintage trailer. These were the perfect width but too long. I cut them to size and they fit perfectly. These were the only u-bolts I could find that would fit my leaf springs. They are good quality and have held up nicely. I just wish they made this size shorter.

by:

I order these ubolts for a 2008 dodge ram 1500 with mcgaughys rear axle flip lowering kit and caltracs traction bars. The original ubolts were too short for comfort when using thicker caltracs spring plates. These fit perfect and are finer thread so a more consistent torque. Many hard launches with slicks and a stroker turbo hemi ram and they have never needed additional torque though I always check for my peace of mind. Thanks guys.

All the trailer parts one ever needs. All in one place, and always at very good prices. When you order a few heavy items always great to know after a certain $ shipping is free. Also just did a first ever return and went very smoothly.

by:

Great product, I’ve looked all over and nobody ( tractor supply, harbor freight, ace hardware, home depot and Lowe’s) had what I needed.
Thank you

After having a spring failure, I will now carry a spare spring and u bolts if I ever have another spring failure. For the price of these parts, it's just good insurance.

by:

Arrived exactly as described in the product description. I used the U-bolt in conjunction with the combo bar 12" to fabricate a hitch receiver for my bike rack for my motor home.

by:

This u-bolt made a great trailer hitch holder as seen in Trailer Life mag. The price was just right. My local auto parts store wanted $15 for one just like it. Just slip a short piece of garden hose over one end. You can leave it on the hitch head for easy removal from the receiver.

by:

they sent the wrong size and still haven't sent the correct ones after sending many pictures. Of Corse all this happened during the holidays so here we are January 5 and I still don't know when I'll get the correct ones.

by:

by:

by:

the product was exactly what they said it came very quickly. I have used etrailer before and after and always fast service and good product

by:

I used the lower shock mounting plates with the u bolts that certain with springs and the top bracket already welded to the trailer. Ended up with some extra parts. Can I send them back for credit? Needed two more shackle bolts. Overall well pleased. Thanks Bob

by:

These were used to replace the existing Dexter ubolts on 8K axle. I added the Roadmaster Slipper spring system, which we love. I am very unhappy with this product. The Dexter ubolts were on the RV for a year and showed zero signs of rusting. These replacement bolts have barely been on 9 months and as the photos show are rusted. I know steel will rust however it appears they added nothing to protect them, had I known I would have dipped them myself. I believe the description should indicate this will happen so as a consumer you can take preventative measures.

  • Availability Of 4-1/2" Wide U-Bolt
Hello Joseph, thanks for reaching out. The closest thing we have to that would be a 5" wide U-bolt like part # 11-70. I have included a picture with detailed dimensions for you. We do not have anything 4-1/2" wide. The next closest would be a 4" wide like part # 11-64.

  • Looking For U-Bolt To Fit 4" Axle
Hello Michael, thanks for reaching out. We do offer one U-bolt for a 4" round axle, and that is part # 11-64. This U-bolt measures 8-1/8" long x 4" wide inside. The bolt is 5/8" diameter. We do not have anything 9/16", but if you have a 4" round axle it should still work for you. See the dimensions I included below. You can also see our current pricing below. If you think this will work, you can order directly from us. Leave a reply below. If you have any other questions or comments I...

  • Parts Needed To Switch From a Square to Round 4" Diameter Axle
In order to switch from a square to a round trailer axle you'll need new u-bolts, the U-Bolt part # 11-64 and Tie Plate part # 12-42 (2" Wide Leaf Springs) are correct for a 4" diameter axle.

  • Parts Needed For an Over-Under Kit For a 4" Diameter 9,000 lb. Axle
I do have an option for you but a 4" diameter axle is a 9,000 lb. axle. We do not have any over under kits for a 9,000 lb. axle. We can however piece together the parts that you would need. - Replacement U-Bolt w/Locknuts for 9,000-lb, Round Trailer Axles # 11-64 (you need 4) - U-Bolt Plate for 4" Diameter, Round Trailer Axles # 12-42 (you need 2) - Spring Seat for Typical 9,000-lb, Round Trailer Axles # 3-51 (you need 2) This would be enough for 1 axle, so if you have multiple axles...

  • Can Lower Capacity Leaf Springs be Used if Trailer Isnt Loaded to Capacity
You can use the 4,500 lbs axle Leaf Spring # e27SR with your 4" axles rated for 9,000 lbs as long as the U-Bolt kit is compatible with a 1-3/4" leaf spring. The only U-Bolt plate that we carry for a 4" axle is part # 12-42 so you will need to figure out a way to take up the gap between the smaller leaf spring and the wider U-Bolts like part # 11-64. Also be sure that you don't exceed 9,000 lbs total with your trailer since the 4,500 lb leaf springs per axle will be the limiting factor.

  • How Thick Is The U-Bolt Plate # 12-42?
    The U-Bolt Plate # 12-42 is 0.31" thick. This will use the U-Bolt w/Locknuts # 11-64.
