How To Wire Two Optronics Transit Lights ST90RB With One Being Stop/Turn and One Being Running

Updated 06/26/2020 | Published 06/24/2020

Question:

I want to install these on a 1968 Pathfinder camper, it was completely gutted when I got it and lights wiring was torn out. My question is there are 4 tail lights - 2 left 2 right, how would these be hooked up ? So either the outside light blinks/ brakes and inside one is a tail light which I would like them to do but not sure how I would wire them- just hook the inside into the running light only wire ? or hooked together and both blink/stop light and still not sure how to wire them, ?

The Optronics Transit Light part # ST90RB is a multi function light designed to work with the stop/turn signals and running light signals. If you had a pair on each side and wanted the outside lights to be the stop/turn and the inside to be running simply hook up the stop/turn light wire (usually yellow/green) to the red wire on the outside light and leave the black one capped off. Then for the inside light, attach the running light wire (usually brown) to the black wire and leave the red wire capped off.
