The Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch - TUFFPLATE Finish - 2 Speed - Direct Drive - 2,500 lbs # DL14825 you asked from is able to use 5/16 inch by up to 47 foot wire cable. I recommend using the Hand Winch Cable with Safety Hook 5/16" Diameter x 25' Long - 2,500 lbs # DL24102 with this winch.
