The Mopar Harness Part Number: 68321424AB is not required to flat tow a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Uplander. That part was required for Cherokee models in 2016 but not the Grand Cherokee models.
If you don't yet have the component for towing, I recommend the following parts:
-Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521440-4
-Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs # RM-520
-Safety Cables # RM-643
-Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
-Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251
-a high-low adapter to ensure you are within 3 inches of level. I've attached a link as well as a help article to assist with this.
