Im try to find the best fifth wheel hitch for my new truck and the mounting bracket. its to pull 2018 big country 36, 16,000 lbs. fully load

The best fifth wheel hitch for the 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed without factory prep is the Demco Hijacker 21,000 lb Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider part # DM8550035 with rails part # DM39FR. You need a slider for cab clearance when towing with the short bed truck. The Demco HiJacker is an auto slider which creates a much more convenient and enjoyable towing experience.

A manual slider requires you to get out of the truck in any weather to adjust the slider. You can drive normally with the Demco and not worry about the slider when making sharper turns because it will do the work for you. It also has a height adjustment of 15-1/4", 16-1/2", and 18" for bed rail clearance compared to other auto slide brands out there without any height adjustment. The Demco rails are custom fit so the installation process does not require any drilling.

The option I recommended is a 21,000 lb capacity because you may upgrade your 5th wheel trailer in the future. If you prefer a lighter capacity, I recommend the 18,000 lb capacity Demco Hijacker part # DM8550034 with the same rails. Also, if your 5th wheel has a rotating pin box like a Sidewinder or Revolution please let me know because these options are not compatible.
