Question:

Im told since my outside distance wheel to wheel is about 74 inches, I should by the X model otherwise my from fenders will get damaged when the dolly wheels swivel. The X model handles up to 78 inches, correct, but no swivel ?

The Demco Kar Kaddy Tow Dolly that folds up for storage is the SS part # DM9713045, the X part # DM9713093 does not fold. I recommend the SS because this folding feature is huge for creating a small footprint where space is limited at a camp site. Aside from the folding tongue, they are very similar, the X and SS.

I just spoke with Demco and although you will have more room with the X, the SS would still work with a 74" track width. There would be no contact with the fenders, the vehicle won't shift on the platform. The X model is actually the one with the swivel feature, not the SS.
