Highest Rated Speed for Trailer Tire

Question:
Why is it important to use trailer tires in lieu of truck tires on your RV. Currently the speed/weight rating on trailer tires is much less accommodating to todays truck capabilities, i.e. maxed at 81 mph with limited operation at this speed. Im not going to speed with my 12000 lb trailer behind me, but for peace of mind, on a level, straight, open highway, speeds of 70 mph continuously are not out of the question. There are significant accounts of trailer tires blowing out due to their speed limited capabilities. Why not just use a truck tire?

In regards to using special trailer (ST) tires over light truck (LT) tires, it all comes down to sidewall capacity. The sidewall must be much stronger for tires used on a trailer as there is significantly more bouncing up and down than on a vehicle for example therefore the tires need to be much stronger to accommodate this.
In regards to blow-outs, there are multiple factors that go into his but some trailer tires just aren't made very well in all honestly.
