Trailer Brake Controller Connector Location in 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude

Question:
Hi there, I got 2015 Jeep latitude. I check underneath the dash left hand side, and there is no brake controller connector. The car did come with the factory trailer tow. I noticed in the back of the trunk area in the wheel well, there is a wire that says connect to trailer brake controller. Where else can I find the connector at? Thank you.

I'll begin with the assumption that you have a 2015 Jeep 'Cherokee Latitude, as the Renegade and Compass Latitude weren't equipped with the optional factory 7-way.
The brake controller connector is located behind the black cover down near the dead pedal where the driver's left foot would sit, as shown in the provided photo, just where the carpet meets the firewall. You'll need to remove that cover by backing out the screw that holds it in place. Once the connector is uncovered, plug the # 3014-P into the connector, plug the other end into the controller and mount the controller where desired.
The 3014-P is compatible with Tekonsha brake controllers like the # 90195 P3.
