Question:
Vehicle: 1997 Chevrolet Express Van Hello, I have a 1997 Chevy Express Conversion Van with a 5.7L 350 engine. It is set up with the transmission cooler and oil cooler. We weighed the van and it came in at 6660 lbs with everyone in it. GVWR on the Van is 7100lbs. The specs say we can pull 6500LBS. The trailer we are looking at is an Imagine 2600RB. Dry weight is 5795 and hitch weight is 594. Do you have a product that will allow us to tow this ?

The trailer hitch I recommend for a 1997 Chevrolet Express Van is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98861 which should be a direct bolt-on fit though keep in mind it is designed to be used with a standard rear bumper. This trailer hitch has a 10,000 lb gross trailer weight rating and 1,000 lb tongue weight rating which will be plenty.
If you don't already have a trailer connector, you'll need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C55335 which is plug-n-play then the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7 and the Brake Controller part # TK63VR to activate the brakes.
