Can the Factory Hitch of a 2012 Dodge Ram be Removed and Install a Curt Trailer Hitch

Question:
Will this hitch fit on a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab 4 door? Can you install it if you take the factory hitch off? Thank you.

I spoke to my contact at Curt and he informed me that if you were to remove the factory hitch of your 2012 Dodge Ram you could install a Curt Trailer Hitch # 13333 but you would have to leave the bumper beam installed on your truck though to complete the installation.
As far as I know the factory hitch of your vehicle is welded on, this might make removal of it more work than its worth, but if you retain the factory bumper beam you would still be able to install the # 13333.
