Does Kuat Bike Rack Lock HLT Fit Kuat NV12G

Hello, This is in regard to the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for Kuat Transfer and NV Core Bike Racks - 1-1/4inch and 2inch Hitches Item # HLT. I recently purchased the NV12G Kuat bike rack from you order number 108991923. According to the description this hitch pin with the threads works with the Kuat Transfer and the NV core racks, however, it also states - Locking hitch pin secures your Kuat Transfer and NV Core bike rack to your 1-1/4inch or 2inch hitch - Works with TS02B, TS02G, TS02B-FB, TS02G-FB, TS03B, TS03G, TS03B-FB, TS03G-FB, NV22G, BA22B, NV22B, NV22G-NA22G, NV22B-NA22B, BA22B-BA02B, NV12G, BA12B, AND NV12B. So based on this I purchased this hitch pin. Notice that the NV12G is listed. As a normal hitch pin it works, but the point of the threaded pin is to obviously screw into something. It appears this part does not work. I may be stupid, but there is nothing in the bike rack or my 1 1/4 inch receiver that is threaded to accept the threads. In fact, when I this pin into the hitch pin hole, the threads prevent it from going in all the way?? I do not think this is a self threading design, so I am wondering why the NV12G rack is listed when this does not actually work with it?? Any ideas would be helpful, but again I may as well use the pin that came with the hitch as this adds nothing to the original hitch pin included with my NV12G

The Kuat NV # NV12G that you have has an anti-rattle device built into main tube of the rack. There's a handle underneath the main assembly of the rack that when you tighten pushes a wedge out into the hitch tube to hold it tight and prevent movement. That's why there aren't any threads in the shank of the rack of the rack for the # HLT to attach to. It can fit into the shank of the rack like you found but it won't offer an advantage over the hitch lock that came with your rack.
This fits TS02B, TS02G, TS02B-FB, TS02G-FB, TS03B, TS03G, TS03B-FB, and TS03G-FB

I get the answer, but what I do not get is why the NV12G is listed as compatable with this hitch pin when clearly the features of the pin wont work with that hitch.
