I bought this as a new install not a replacement, so I have no way to operate it. If I buy the MA00A03550K controller, will it operate the unit I bought? How does it operate it, via battery? My install is for camping with limited power, so I want to make sure it will work. The instructions I was linked to by your customer service rep does not have my model listed on any of the nine pages that speak about controllers and remotes. Thank you,

The MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent part # MA00-04751KSX is designed to replace an existing roof vent fan. Therefore, it does not come with everything needed for installation. The extra items you will need are as follows:
