Will the SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps Work With a Screen Door

Question:

I spoke to LCI and they told me for a 29 1/2” frame to frame, I needed the 791575. How does it latch for transport with a screen door? I see from a previous Q/A that there is plenty of depth in front of screen door. However, the screen door is flush with the inside of the camper door frame. Is there an L shaped bracket that goes between the screen door and inside door frame lip?

The SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps part # LC791575 are secured in the upright position by a striker which catches the lip on the door frame. I have attached a photo of this for you. In regards to compatibility with a screen door, this shouldn't be an issue for most screen doors as the steps actually sit inside the trailer. The only part that sits inside the door frame is the striker mechanism above which so long as it does not align with the screen door bar there would most likely be no interference issues. I have attached a photo of this for you as well.
