Question:

I have a 2020 Coachmen Chaparral 336TSIK 5th wheel and am looking at upgrading the suspension with LIppert Road Armor equalizers. My current equalizers are Dexter 13-144. The horizontal shackle holes are 7 3/4inch apart, and the distance from the center mounting hole to the shackle holes is 4 5/8 The shackles are 2 1/4, which I want to replace as well. Will the Lippert Road Armor work with my setup, and what size replacement shackles should I get? Thanks!

I recommend going with the MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers # MR29DR over the Lippert Road Armor # LC696740 on your 2020 Coachmen Chaparral 33TSIK. With the Road Armor bolts only spread 6" on center and your current leaf spring sitting relatively flat I worry going to the shorter equalizer may cause the shackle to flip on the equalizer more easily. You will want to use the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Triple Axle Trailers - 2-1/4" # MR86ZR with the new equalizer. This will give you wet bolts which allow the suspension to work easier and quieter.
