Expert Reply:
Yes, the Strait-Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # RP66075 is compatible with underslung couplers, it even mentions it in the instructions during the initial measurements. You can see the attached photo.
The Gen Y torsion flex weight distribution shank like # 325-GH-1102 is also compatible, most shanks for weight distribution systems are pretty universal and work with most systems. You'll want to make sure that all the components used in your towing set up are rated high enough, and that you use the lowest rating of all the parts.
Whenever choosing a weight distribution system its important to base it off of the total tongue weight of your trailer. The trailer fully loaded, and the weight behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. You can use etrailer Trailer Tongue Weight Scale # e99044 to get an accurate number.
After you know the tongue weight, the ideal WD system would be one where the tongue weight of your towing set up is right in the middle of the rating for the system. If you let me now how much your trailer weighs I would be happy to make a recommendation for a specific system.
I linked the parts mentioned above, and included some videos and articles about common questions about weight distribution.
