The towing capacity of a 2020 Kia Telluride is indeed 5,000 lbs gross trailer and 351 lbs tongue weight. These figures are only true though if the trailer has brakes to aid in stopping otherwise it would be less, 1,650 lbs gross trailer weight and 351 lbs tongue weight. In regards to what goes into these figures, there are several factors involved of which how it is attached being just one of many. The weight capacity listed for this vehicle will not increase with a weight distribution system or load leaving bars as you put. That said, you also don't have to have them in order to retain the above capacities.
In order to tow a trailer you will need a trailer hitch like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13420, a trailer wiring harness like the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # CU94FR, and if the trailer has brakes a brake controller and upgraded trailer wiring harness, the RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation part # ETBC7L and Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180.
