I know that I need one to secure the mount to my hitch receiver, but do I need one or two more to secure the ball mount to the hitch?

If you want to totally lock the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS10048C you would need a lock set that locks the shank to the hitch and locks for the platform then to the shank with the InfiniteRule Locking Pins # 34061775-D.
